She always asserts that she is against the issue that art must contain a message, and that the idea must stem from the character of the actor, and art has its main goal as entertainment, entertainment and a presentation of life stories.. During the past period, there were many works and intense artistic activity of the star Saba Mubarak to tell many of Other tales and to impersonate different personalities and present them to a wide audience at the Arab level, in addition to achieving successive successes, including “Amber 6” and “Daughters of Abdel Rahman”, which I expected success, but did not expect all this interaction from the audience, especially with its presentation at the Cairo International Film Festival and even receiving an award At the same time, the unusual attack witnessed in her last movie, “Amira”, and her preparation for the movie “Arnous” and the series “Night of Fall” and other details that she talked about in an exclusive interview with “Al Arabiya.net”.
How did you find the success of the series “Anbar 6” when it was shown recently?
I was very pleased with it, especially that the series is inspired by real events of the story of three distinguished women who face the challenges of the hidden world behind the walls of a prison, where some prisoners are unjust and others are oppressed, but they are victims of the cruelty of society and the conditions they were exposed to.. The number of works that dealt with what is happening inside The women’s prison is very few. Inside it is a world of stories and secrets that we try to reveal through the series in light of the severe suffering of the inmates of this prison, and the cruelty of their suffering with the conditions of society, through many human stories told by the prisoners.

A scene from “Daughters of Abdul Rahman”
The series is shown in 12 episodes full of excitement, events and suspense, with two episodes presented for presentation every Thursday via a digital platform, a dramatic treatment by Hani Sarhan and Doaa Abdel Wahab, and written by Samar Taher, Irene Youssef, Hind Abdullah, Mai Saeed, and directed by Ali Al-Ali .. and Saadat The presence of my name with a group of stars of the Arab world.
Tell us about the scenes of the work
When the series was shown to me, I found it different from the works that I presented before, because it was inspired by real events about stories that take place in the world of prisons and shook Arab public opinion, and the work consists of a group of seasons and the first season of it 12 episodes, and despite that we attended it over the course of 6 months Before the start of filming, especially as it is considered one of the largest Arab dramas.

Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak
Filming took place entirely in Lebanon, where special decorations for prisons were built on large areas to enrich realism, which is what the producer Jamal Sinan did to provide everything in order for the work to appear in an elaborate manner as it appeared on the screen in its first episodes.
It achieved extraordinary success with the screening of the movie “Daughters of Abdel Rahman” at the Cairo Film Festival?
To be frank, I expected the success of the film already, but I did not expect all this interaction from the audience, as it responded to the film greatly, which I felt through the applause of the audience with every scene of cheers and shouts of praise and the audience’s groans came out of their hearts with joy, and this is what made me very happy, when it was decided Producing this film I was betting on the audience, and the biggest challenge for me personally was that the audience liked the film, and my wish was to make a commercial film and at the same time primarily artistic.

princess movie
This was my challenge as a productive boy, and my ambition was to make a respectable commercial and artistic film. The second degree is winning awards, but I do not deny my happiness that the film won the Youssef Sherif Rizk Allah Award, by the audience’s vote at the Cairo International Film Festival.
You have produced TV shows before, but “Banat Abdul Rahman” is your first cinematic experience? Did you feel intimidated by the experience?
Indeed, I produced two works before, “Crossing” and “Asphalt Collar”, but the script of the movie “Daughters of Abdul Rahman” attracted me unusually when Zaid Abu Hamdan, the author and director of the film, offered it to me to get support for its manufacture, and I decided after reading it that I would be the producer, and also when I showed it Ali Producer Shahinaz El Akkad did not take much time to approve the project, it presents a new challenge for me. We agreed that we make respectable entertainment, believe in what’s inside of us, and the most important thing is not to violate our principles and be a respectable art.
What motivated you to act in the film and participate in its production?
The film expresses women’s issues faced by girls in the Arab world, with societal pressures that may cause parents to be harsh on their daughters in order to preserve their image in front of society. The details of their lives make their father pressure them to please society.
And when Zaid showed me the characters of the movie “Zainab, Samah, Amal and Khatam”, I got more attached to Amal’s character, despite the wonderfulness of Samah’s personality, that it is artistically modern and contains details of suffering and is beautiful and desirable all the time, so when I liked the movie, it became my child and my little one.
How did you prepare for the character, since you looked completely different?
Indeed, I was keen to increase my weight significantly to match the character of Amal, as I gained about 15 kilograms to reach the desired character, and it was difficult to hire a designer to provide makeup and tricks to increase my weight due to the budget of the film, so it was easier to gain weight .. The character has been wearing the niqab for years and is very overweight and old as well, and although I had difficulty losing my weight again, but the challenge in this film was worth, this work was a great adventure for me, I must have enough flexibility to appear in different forms, even if shocking Because people do not see us in it a lot.
But you appeared differently from the roles of the beautiful lady?
At the beginning and the end, I am an actress, so I do not present the roles of the beautiful lady with high heels only. This is our profession and its challenges. I am a person who quickly gets bored. If I do not find something new to offer, I will quit art completely, and therefore I search for what is new continuously, and boldness is the secret of success and presentation Something different, and more importantly, to show beautifully that I present an important work that makes me proud, and makes people confident and proud of us. This film has great challenges, especially since it is non-commercial and is more associated with festivals and attracts filmmakers, but at the same time it expresses the community and presents a cause that concerns all people and can achieve great mass success.
The movie “Princess” has faced many attacks, why?
Since the beginning of the film’s showing in September 2021 at the “Venice Festival”, it was shown in the Arab world and watched by thousands of Arab, Palestinian and international audiences. The consensus has always been that the film depicts the issue of prisoners in a positive and humane way and clearly criticizes the occupation. The State of Palestine is a part of me, I am a Palestinian mother, and the Palestinian cause is the most important issue that I have adopted artistically. That is why the film team announced that any screenings of the film will be stopped, and we demanded the establishment of a specialized committee by the prisoners and their families to watch and discuss it, as we believe in the purity of what we presented in the movie “Princess.” Without any offense to the prisoners and the Palestinian cause.
What about your new one?
I finished filming the series “Night of Fall” with Syrian director Naji Ta’my, starring Tarek Lotfi, Ahmed Siam from Egypt, Bassem Yakhour and Canada Hanna from Syria, along with a constellation of Iraqi drama stars, written by Egyptian writer Magdy Saber, and the series deals with the practices of terrorist groups, Its events revolve within a socio-political framework, and through it I present the role of the character “Joanna”, a doctor suffering from injustice.
I am also currently waiting for the screening of the movie “Al-Swarm”, in which I embody a central character in the events, a Libyan woman whose events will reveal the details of her role upon its release. The film will be a surprise to the audience, and the film deals with the air strike carried out by the army in Libya against ISIS. The film was written by Omar Abdel Halim and directed by Ahmed Nader Jalal, starring Ahmed El-Sakka, Diab, Karim Fahmy, Aser Yassin, Sherif Mounir and Mahmoud Abdel-Mughni, and a large group of artists who appear as guests of honor.
