Zamalek swept its guest, Ghazl El-Mahalla, 4-0, on Saturday, in the eighth stage of the Egyptian Football League.
With this victory, Zamalek managed to temporarily take the lead in the competition with 19 points, one point ahead of Al-Ahly, who played only six matches, and plays tomorrow against Future.
Ghazl El-Mahalla’s balance froze at ten points in tenth place.
Zamalek advanced through Mustafa Fathi in the 35th minute, before Ashraf Bin Sharqi added the second goal in the 37th minute.
In the 71st minute, Moroccan Mohamed Onajem added the third goal for Zamalek, before his compatriot Ashraf Ben Sharqi doubled the score by scoring the fourth goal in the 74th minute.
