It is reported that on May 26, 2020, the Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced that Friday and congregational prayers would be allowed to be held for all duties in Saudi mosques, except for mosques in the Holy City of Makkah, while adhering to precautionary and preventive measures.
At the time, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs took several precautionary measures, including opening mosques fifteen minutes before the call to prayer, closing them ten minutes after prayer, keeping the waiting period between the call to prayer and the iqaamah for only ten minutes, opening windows and opening doors from the time the time entered until the end of the prayer, and raising the Qur’an. And the books in the mosques, in order not to transmit infection between the worshipers, and among the procedures was also obligating the worshipers to leave a distance of two meters between each worshiper, and to leave a space of one row for each two rows.
