Overjoyed, the first Saudi child to receive the Corona vaccine expressed his great joy and happiness after receiving the vaccine. The child, Reda, said: “I was fed and took the first dose of the Corona vaccine and did not feel any pain.”
He added, during a video clip broadcast by the Saudi Ministry of Health via its Twitter account: I want all children to take the Corona vaccine so that we can go back to school again.
The father of the child, Reda, said: “My son had previously been infected with the Corona virus, and we were afraid that he would be infected again, so we brought him to receive the vaccine.”
Begin vaccinating children
On Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of Health began vaccinating the age group of (5-11) with the Corona vaccine, in order to ensure their safety and protect them from mutants and complications.
The Ministry of Health launched the first phase of vaccination against the Corona virus on December 17, 2020, while the second phase was launched on February 18, and witnessed the expansion of the inauguration of more vaccination centers to include all regions of Saudi Arabia.
On June 30, 2021, the Saudi Ministry of Health gave the first dose of the Corona vaccine to the age group of 12-18 years, in its centers spread in the Saudi regions, by registering and obtaining an appointment through the “My Health” application.
