Seville managed to get a point at home, after drawing 1-1 with its guest, Barcelona, on Tuesday evening, in a postponed match of the fourth stage of the Spanish Football League.
Alejandro Gomez opened the scoring for Sevilla in the 32nd minute, then Barcelona equalized with a goal by Ronald Araujo in the 45th minute.
Barcelona excelled in the offensive side significantly throughout the two halves of the match, but Seville refused to receive the first defeat at home this season and ended the match tied, raising its score to 38 points in second place, five points behind leaders Real Madrid.
Barcelona also raised its score to 28 points to climb to seventh place, where the tie was the seventh for the team this season, compared to seven victories and four defeats in the league.
