The Saudi embassy in the United States of America confirmed today, Tuesday, that the person who was arrested by the American authorities in Arizona late last week, and described him as a potential terrorist, “is not a Saudi citizen.”

And the embassy stated on its Twitter account, that it had contacted “the relevant US authorities in this regard,” stressing that the person mentioned as a possible terrorist “is not a Saudi citizen.”
“We will continue to coordinate with the US government and provide any facts on this matter,” she added.
And US Border Patrol officials announced the arrest of a “potential terrorist”, and stated that he was a Saudi national, in Arizona late last week, with links to “Yemeni people” who are being pursued by the authorities.
“The suspect entered the United States on Thursday night, and he is 21 years old,” said Chris Clem, the commander of the Yuma border sector. Clem published camouflaged pictures of the suspect wearing a jacket bearing an American flag, bearing the slogan “Central Oneida County Volunteer.”
