Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Debt Management announced on Tuesday that the kingdom issued 415 million riyals ($110.55 million) of local sukuk in December.
He added in a statement that the issuance was divided into two tranches, the first of which amounted to 200 . One million riyals for sukuk maturing in 2029.
The second tranche amounted to 215 million riyals for sukuk maturing in 2031.
The size of the local issuance of sukuk in November amounted to 614.179 million riyals, including one tranche that represents the total value of the issuance of sukuk maturing in 2033.
The two issuances come within the annual borrowing plan for the year 2021 announced by the center at the beginning of the fiscal year on its website, through which it reviews the schedule of its local issuances to match the working days of the international market with regard to issuance announcements and settlement dates.
