Under the patronage of the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, SAL Saudi Logistics Services Company, a member of the Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation, inaugurated today the expansion of its new terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi SAL Company for Logistics Services, Fawaz bin Muhammad Al-Fawaz, said that the launch of the expansion of the station comes in line with the national strategy for transport and logistics, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a global logistics platform, to contribute significantly to maximizing and diversifying the economic impact of the Kingdom. Al-Fawaz added that the launch of the expansion aims to take advantage of the company’s strengths in handling air freight and its expertise in the sector to expand its logistics services and advanced solutions at airports and outside, and to serve international markets to increase the strength of linking the Kingdom’s ports with its global counterparts.
For his part, Eng. Hisham bin Abdullah Al-Hussein, CEO of the Saudi SAL Company for Logistics Services, stated that the expansion area of the phase of qualitative services in addition to the traditional services for ground handling services from the station will reach 40,000 square meters, including various shipping facilities equipped with the latest facilities and the highest international standards. Automated handling systems, which include services for incoming and outgoing shipments, medical and food refrigerated shipments, high-value shipments, dangerous shipments and transit shipments, in accordance with security procedures according to international standards.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi SAL Company for Logistics Services is one of the national companies that provides its logistical services in the field of cargo handling for various airlines at the air ports in the Kingdom, in addition to providing logistical solutions services and linking other means of transport to raise the efficiency of logistics services provided internationally, to contribute to achieving The Kingdom’s 2030 vision is to make it a global logistics platform and an international center for servicing goods and shipments.
