Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish praised the level of talented players in his team, saying that the club can win three titles this season by winning the domestic league titles, the FA Cup and the Champions League, expressing his hope to win the first title of his professional career.
City, led by veteran Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, won the last four games he played in the English Premier League and is currently at the top of the standings with 41 points from 17 games, before his match later on Sunday with struggling Newcastle United in 19th and penultimate place.
In response to a question about his team’s ability to win this treble this season, Grealish said: “I think so. I don’t want to put too much pressure on the team, but we have a lot of talent and a lot of very good players in our team.”
“I think we can be successful in a few competitions this year,” Grealish added. That’s what I came for, winning titles, so I hope to get some medals at the end of the season.
Grealish indicated that he needed to improve his personal level after his relatively slow start with the team he joined in August for 100 million pounds from Aston Villa, where he scored three goals and created three scoring opportunities in 20 matches he played in all competitions.
And he added: I try to keep improving all the time and I know that staying here for a longer period will give me a greater chance to improve further.
