Oil prices fell during trading today, Friday, by about 2%, after rising during trading yesterday by more than a dollar a barrel.
Brent crude futures fell by 1.95% to $73.54 a barrel, while US crude futures fell 2% to $70.89 a barrel.
Yesterday, Brent crude rose $1.14, or 1.5 percent, to settle at $75.02 a barrel, while US West Texas crude rose $1.51, or 2.1 percent, to settle at $72.38 a barrel.
Demand will see a rise in 2021 after collapsing last year. The US Energy Information Administration said Wednesday that products supplied by refineries, an indicator of demand, jumped in the last week to 23.2 million barrels per day.
