The Yemeni national team crowned the West Asian Football Federation Championship for juniors by defeating its Saudi host 4-3 on penalties in the final match, which took place at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium on Monday.
The original time ended with a 1-1 draw, as Muhammad Al-Barwani advanced with a goal for Yemen in the 46th minute, but Muhammad Al-Issa kidnapped the deadly equalizer for the Saudi Green in stoppage time for the match.
The two teams went to penalty kicks, which the Yemeni team settled in their favour, 4-3.
