The Algerian national team qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Football Cup currently being held in Qatar, after its victory over Morocco 5-3 on penalties after the end of the original and extra time for the match in a 2-2 draw.
The Algerian team advanced through Yacine Brahimi from a penalty kick in the 62nd minute, before Mohamed Nahiri equalized for the Moroccan team in the 64th minute.
In the tenth minute of the first extra period, Youssef Al-Bilaili scored the second goal for the Algerian team, before Badr Banoun equalized for the Moroccan team in the sixth minute of the second overtime period.
The two teams resorted to penalty kicks from the penalty mark, which smiled at the Algerian team, which outperformed its opponent 5-3.
