A man climbed a holiday tree outside the headquarters of “Fox News” in Manhattan, New York, and then set it on fire.
Video clips circulated on social media documented the flames and smoke that rose from the tree located in the outer courtyard of the network’s main headquarters.
The police arrested the man (who is aged 49) and placed him in custody, but did not reveal his identity.
Police said the fire broke out shortly after midnight and caused no injuries.
The tree in front of Fox News headquarters, which was named “All-American” and lit up last Sunday, is 50 feet high. It is said to contain 10,000 pieces of ornate decorations and 100,000 lamps.
