Mohammed Al-Deeb, said in a statement to Al-Arabiya.net that the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to the Sultanate of Oman will crown the efforts of the Coordinating Committee and the joint councils between the two countries, as the visit began at the beginning with the signing of 13 joint memoranda of understanding worth 30 billion. dollar.
Al-Theeb added that the Omani-Saudi Business Council held its third meeting on the sidelines of the visit, as the meeting focused on accelerating the pace of the work of the joint council, by agreeing to form a group of sectoral committees, which amount to 6 committees in various fields, including energy, mining, technology , food security, logistics, industries and construction, services, stressing that the sectors have been carefully selected to be in line with Oman’s 2040 vision and the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
He added that the six committees aim to find joint projects in both countries, as they came after we found a real desire from both countries at the level of the public and private sectors to enhance trade and economic exchange, and to advance qualitative investments to new horizons in order to achieve the goals of the two countries.
Al-Theeb explained that the economic effects of opening the land port between Oman and Saudi Arabia are great, as this port is expected to contribute to raising the volume of trade exchange, reducing the cost of transportation, and reducing the time period, which will contribute to reducing the prices of commercial products that will be available in the market.
