Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that Belgian international midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will participate from the start in the match against Leipzig, Germany, on Tuesday, at the end of the group stage of the Champions League.
De Bruyne was absent from City for a month after he was infected with the Corona virus, but he returned to participate during the match that his team won against Watford by three goals for a goal yesterday, Saturday.
City has already qualified for the Champions League playoffs, along with the top of Group A after beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the previous match.
Guardiola said during a press conference on Monday: Kevin suffered from Corona and suffered a setback because of it.
He added, “It is normal for affected people to feel empty, step by step, participate in several minutes, he will participate from the beginning and we will see how many minutes he will participate.”
